Kohat DC expels 4 polio workers

PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Khalid Ilyas Wednesday expelled four employees of health and education department for showing negligence in anti-polio duty.
The expelled government employees included two teachers Zar Mohammad and Humaira of the education department, EPI technician Irfan Danish and medical technician Subhan.
The deputy commissioner said that polio is crippling and deadly disease, whose eradication requires durable efforts. He said that protecting the new generation from disabling is the national duty of all. Therefore, he said that the role of parents in this regard is highly crucial and urged them to extend full cooperation to polio teams and administer polio drops to all children below the age of five years. Khalid Ilyas said that during the recent years no polio case was reported in Kohat and refusal cases in Kohat are less than other districts of the province.
