Bahawalpur emerge winners in NBP T20 Blind tourney

LAHORE: Bahawalpur Wednesday returned triumphant as it clinched the National Bank of Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2017 at Multan.
Playing at the Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt, Bahawalpur beat Peshawar by six wickets in the final. Bahawalpur won the toss and decided to use the soil first. Peshawar was bowled out only on 133 runs in 17.3 overs. Abdul Manan was the leading scorer for Peshawar he made 32 runs while Haroon Khan scored 30 runs. M Ejaz brilliantly bowled and took 3 wickets by giving away 26 runs in 4 overs while Sajid Nawaz grabbed 2 wickets.
Bahawalpur in reply played intelligently and reached the minute target of 134 runs in 17.5 overs by losing their 4 wickets. M Rashid was the highest scorer with unbeaten 63* runs while Moeen Ali made 30 runs. M Asif took 2 wickets. Later the Man of the Match was given to M Ejaz.
Man of the Tournament: Riasat Khan in B1 Category, Badar Munir in B2 Category, Muhammad Jameel in B3 and Zeshan Gul Best Wicket Keeper. Kamran Khan Tareen, Regional Business Development Manager NBP Multan and Syed Sultan Shah Chairman PBCC were the Chief Guests of the occasion and distributed prizes amongst the players.
