Islamabad: The Traders Action Committee Wednesday launched a protest movement against forced expulsion of the shopkeepers and traders of Islamabad markets and decided to continue it till the enforcement of Rental Control Act in the federal capital.

While addressing the participants of the demonstration, Ajmal Baloch, Kashif Chaudhry and Khalid Chaudhry cleared upon the authorities concerned that they would not allow anyone to expel the shopkeepers which results in their joblessness. As the Rental Control Act does not exist in the capital, the courts have to decide cases in accordance with the law. However, the traders are not ready to except any court orders and demand the immediate enforcement of Rent Control Act. We would render all kind of sacrifices and ready to go behind the bards for the enforcement of Rental Control Act. They demanded of the prime minister to direct the approval of amendment bill of Rental Control Act without any further delay in order to benefit the traders and shopkeepers of Islamabad. The representatives warned to continue on the protest movement till the enforcement of Rental Control Act in Islamabad.
