T20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2017: Peshawar, Bahawalpur set up title clash

LAHORE: Peshawar and Bahawalpur reached the final of the National Bank of Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2017 being played at Multan and Bahawalpur. The final will be played at Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt on Wednesday.
In the opening semi-final, Peshawar beat Gujranwala at the Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt. Peshawar won the toss and elected to field first. Gujranwala made 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. M Akram was their leading scorer with 55 runs, while Atiq ur Rehman made 28 runs. Asif took 1 wicket. In reply, Peshawar reached the target of 185 runs in 17.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Haroon Khan made unbeaten 99* runs while Mohsin Khan made 52 runs. Haroon Khan was named the players of the match. In the second semi-final, Bahawalpur beat Lahore at the Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt. Lahore opted to bat first after winning the toss. Lahore made 183 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kamran Khan was the pick amongst the batsmen, he made unbeaten 100* runs while Mati Ullah scored 24 runs. Saqib and Ejaz took 2 wickets each.
Bahawalpur, in reply chased the target by losing their 4 wickets in 16.2 overs. Muhammad Rashid was the star for Bahawalpur; he scored 68 runs while Moeen Ali made 35 runs. Salman, Karamat and Mati shared a wicket each. M Rashid was named Man of the Match.
