4 TTP terrorists held from Pindi, Gujranwala

LAHORE: A Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) team has arrested four suspected terrorists and recovered explosives. On a tip-off, the CTD team Rawalpindi arrested one terrorist, identified as Muhammad Irfan, from near a housing society Fateh Jang. Separately, the CTD Gujranwala team arrested three terrorists, identified as Mudassir Nazir, Muhammad Iqbal and Abdul Wahab. Explosives and arms were recovered from their possession. They were allegedly planning to attack personnel of law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. They belong to proscribed organisation Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Cases have been registered against them in police stations of CTD Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. Further investigation is continuing.
