National Karate Championships from November 23

KARACHI: The 25th National Men’s and 11th National Women’s Karate Championships will be staged at the WAPDA Sports Complex, Lahore, from November 23-26.
The participant teams are WAPDA, Army, Police, Railways, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and FATA.The men’s competitions will be contested in individual kumite, -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -67kg, 75kg, -84kg, +84kg, team kumite, individual kata, and team kata.
The women will show their worth in individual kumite, -45kg, -50kg, -55kg, -61kg, -68kg, +68kg, team kumite, individual kata and team kata. The Pakistan Karate Federation said that the opening ceremony would be graced by the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Lt Gen (retd) Syed Arif Hasan.
