LANDIKOTAL: A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier sustained injuries when unidentified gunmen fired bullets from Afghanistan side and hit the security check post in Mishtara border hills in Bazaar Zakhakhel area in Landikotal tehsil, Khyber Agency, sources said on Monday. They said that several gun shots were fired from the Afghan side of the border directly hit a Pakistani security check post situated in Mishtara hills in Landikotal. An official told this scribe that paramilitary trooper Faqir Gul was on his duty when firing erupted. He suffered bullet injures. The sources said the Pakistani security forces retaliated and returned the fire. The security was beefed up on the border with Afghanistan at Mishtara, added sources. The injured was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar.
