ABBOTTABAD: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party head Mehmood Khan Achakzai said on Sunday that the hand that tried to damage the constitution will be broken. He said Pakistan cannot be run without the will of public and all the democratic forces were united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Addressing the public meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) here, he said the federation of Pakistan having four federating units needed to be handled carefully.
"The country is owned by judges, generals, public representatives and general public. It gained independence after sacrifices," he said.
Achakzai, who is a key ally of the PML-N government, referred to the past mistakes that divided the country and warned against making such blunders.
He congratulated the people of Hazara for showing up at the public meeting in large number and giving a clear massage that nobody would be allowed to break the Constitution.
"Any move to subvert the constitution will be dealt with strictly," he said, adding that they will go to any extent to resist any undemocratic move. He declared that the Constitution was not just a piece of paper.
Achakzai said that some elements saw Nawaz Sharif's move as confrontation and said that he would be the first person to raise voice against him if he didn't accept the Constitution.
