Two fake ‘pirs’ arrested

Islamabad Kohsar Police Sunday arrested two fake ‘pirs’ and four other outlaws involved in street crimes and dacoity incidents, a police spokesman said.
He said a team led by SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh arrested Nazeer Ahmed resident of Sir Syed Colony Rawalpindi and Agha Fayyaz resident of Peoples Colony Faisalabad. They used to loot simpletons after portraying themselves as ‘Pir’. They confessed to mint money and other valuables from 150 persons.
Police also recovered a Toyotta Corolla car (EC-7288) and other valuables from them while further investigation was underway from them. Meanwhile, the same police team including SHO Kohsar Police Station Inspector Asjad Mehmud held four other outlaws involved in street crimes and dacoity incidents.
They had been identified as Atif, Siraj, Furqan and Usman. Police team recovered looted items including precious watches and mobile phones from them and further investigation was also underway from them. SSP Islamabad Sajiid Kiani appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in their respective areas.
