GUJRAT/LAHORE: The five bullet-riddled bodies found in Turbat reached Lahore on Sunday from Karachi through a PIA plane from where these were transported to the deceased’s native areas in Gujrat.
Later on, the funeral prayers of the martyred persons were offered in their native town Gujrat and were laid to rest. A large number of people attended the funeral prayers of the five youth killed in Turbat. The victims were identified as Usman Qadir, Danish Ali, Bader Muneer, Saqib Ali and Qasim.
According to a spokesperson for the Edhi Foundation, the bodies were shifted to a morgue in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth earlier in the day where they were bathed and then sent to the Jinnah International Airport.
On Wednesday, 15 bodies were recovered from Turbat. The deceased were said to be residents of Punjab who were being sent to Europe via Iran illegally through human smuggling agents. While 15 bodies were found in the Buleda area of Turbat, the other five were found in the Tajban area of the same tehsil.
