PHC judge visits Timergara jail; orders release of 16 inmates

TIMERGARA: Justice Qalandar Ali Khan of Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday paid a surprise visit to District Jail Timergara and ordered release of 16 prisoners involved in petty crimes.
District and Sessions Judge, Timergara, Gohar Rehman, Inspector General (IG) Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahidullah Khan, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khalid Abbas and others were present on the occasion. Justice Qalandar Ali Khan checked women and juvenile barracks, hygienic condition of kitchen, availability of medical staff and drinking water at the District Jail Timergara.
