Nubaira, Aqsa to take part in Asian rifle, pistol championship

KARACHI: Two young shooters from Pakistan will take part in the 10th Asian championship for 10-meter rifle and pistol to be held in Wako City, Japan, from December 6-12.
“Nubaira Babur and Aqsa Ghufran will participate in this championship in youth category,” said Razi Ahmed Khan, Executive Vice President of National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP), while talking to ‘The News’. “This is the qualifying round for Youth Olympics. Commodore Ghazanfar will accompany them as the manager,” said Razi, adding that both the participants would take part in 10m air rifle event in which 44 athletes from 20 nations are to compete. The 2018 Youth Olympics will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 1-6.
