GUJRANWALA: On the orders of Additional Sessions Judge Zahid Iqbal, bailiff Ansar Pervez on Tuesday recovered two men from a private torture cell of Dogranwali police post of Cantonment police station.
The bailiff raided the private torture cell and recovered Rana Majid and Rana Rafaqat. The bailiff produced them before the judge, who released them and summoned the SHO and other policemen today with record.
Earlier, in a petition, Rana Sajid alleged that police had illegally arrested Rana Majid and Rana Rafaqat and shifted them to their private torture cell five days ago. He further alleged that police tortured them.
TWO HUMAN TRAFFICKERS HELD: Two human traffickers were arrested from Randhir village, Gujrat district, on Tuesday. FIA Inspector Shahid Pervez, on a tip-off, raided the village and arrested human traffickers Ghulam Abbas and Manzoor. Further investigations are under way.
Death warrants for convict issued

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Imtiaz Ahmad has issued death warrants for condemned prisoner Qaisar Mehmood for February 17.
The convict had shot dead Constable Ali Akbar Khan during an encounter on August 11, 2011 and was awarded death by an ATC on November 8, 2012. He was booked by Sialkot police.
