RPO calls for combating terrorism

BAHAWALPUR: The Regional Police Officer Tuesday urged civil society and officers to cooperate with each other to combat terrorism in the country.
Addressing a big gathering of police officers and notables of district Rahim Yar Khan regarding implementation of the National Action Plan, the RPO said unity is very essential to frustrate designs of anti-state elements.
He asked policemen and assistant commissioners to take action against terrorists after thorough investigations.
He said strict action would be taken against those who ‘lionize’ terrorists in their speeches in mosques or other gatherings. DCO Nabeel Javed and DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha also addressed the gathering.
