KARACHI: Favourite Ahsan Ayaz and third seed Mohammad Farhan won their semi-final matches and secured their place in the final of boys under-19 event of Rehana Nazar RashidAbad National Junior Squash championship 2015 at Rehana Nazar Squash Complex in Rashidabad.
Ahsan found tough resistance from unseeded Faizan Khan and dropped a set before recording an 11-6, 11-7, 13-15, 11-6 victory.
Third seed Muhammad Farhan zapped his unseeded semi-final opponent Zain Ramzan, recording a convincing 11-9, 11-2, 11-7 triumph.
In boys under-17 semi-final, top seed Mehran Javed thrashed third seed Arslan Ramzan 11-4, 11-7, 11-6.
In the final, Mehran will face surprise opponent unseeded Ali Kramat, who defeated fourth seed Fawad Khalil 11-6, 11-9, 15-13. In girls under-19 event, fourth seed Madina Zafar was awarded victory against favourite Sadia Gul after Sadia was reported for misbehaving with match officials. Sadia was leading the match 11-9, 12-14, 4-11, 6-6 when she was penalised for misbehaving.
Second seed Faiza Zafar secured her place in the event’s final by defeating unseeded Roshail Shaikh 11-6, 11-1, 11-2.
