PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) administration on Thursday suspended eight officers for dereliction of duties and initiated departmental action against them.
The officers suspended included Muhammad Aslam Khan, XEN, AC Bannu, Altaf Hussain, XEN, GC Division Peshawar, Murad Khan, Senior Engineer (PDGSC) Peshawar, Arbab Farooq, Deputy Director, Planning and Development (P&D), Pesco Headquarters, Inayatullah Shah, XEN, T&G Division GSC, Peshawar, Tehsinullah, SDO and Saifur Rehman, LS-II Umarzai sub-division.
Meanwhile, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Pesco, Shabir Ahmed, took notice of the death of lineman Yasir Ali, who was electrocuted while working on a transmission line, and suspended the XEN concerned.
