BHAKKAR: Secretary general and other activists of PTI tehsil Darya Khan have quit the party on Friday.
According to a press release, the PTI local leadership has forwarded resignations to the PTI high command. Personal reasons were stated to be behind the resignations.
CRACKDOWN ON QUACKS: DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo Friday ordered a crackdown on quacks and illegal drug dealers.
Presiding over a meeting of Quality Control Board of district Health Department, the DCO said action would be taken against unauthorized physicians.
He ordered a crackdown on drug peddlers and medical stores where sub-standard medicines are sold.
10 GIRL STUDENTS INJURED: Ten girl students suffered injuries in an accident on Friday.
The students were travelling in a van, when it reached near Thal Canal Bridge, Jehan Khan, a speeding bus hit the van, leaving ten students injured.
The injured were taken to DHQ hospital.
RAILWAYS TRACK THEFT BID: Locals foiled thieves’ bid to steal railway track’s iron on Friday near Shah Alam at Kudian-Multan section.
The locals found some thieves trying to remove iron sheets of the railway track. They informed the police about the thieves. The thieves fled leaving their two motorbikes near the railway track.
