Man kills wife, son and mother-in-law in Kohat
KOHAT: A man along with his accomplice gunned down his wife, minor son and mother-in-law in Shakar Darra area on Tuesday, police officials said. The father-in-law of the accused and his daughter-in-law sustained injuries in the gruesome attack, they said.
The officials said that Zahid along with Mumtaz Khan entered into the house of his father-in-law and opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Zahid’s wife Amina Parveen, eight-month-old son Hamza and mother-in-law Sharif Jana died on the spot while his father-in-law Aman Shah and a woman Maria Bibi sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital where they recorded their statements to police.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the accused Zahid and recovered the weapon used in the crime but his accomplice escaped.
The police termed the incident an act of revenge saying that Zahid’s mother was burnt to death on August 25, 2016 after which he got registered a murder case against his wife and in-laws. A local court had accepted the bail plea of Aman Shah, his wife and daughter and ordered their release a few days ago.
