Delegation visits courts in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: A 15-member delegation of the district and sessions judges from Punjab visited Charsadda district courts.
The visiting judges were briefed about the overall cases in Charsadda courts. The delegation also met District and Sessions Judge Charsadda Muneera Abbasi.On the occasion, Akbar Ali Khan, Civil Judge Charsadda briefed the delegation about the nature and number of cases registered in the district Court.
Furthermore, an interactive session was held between the delegation and the judges of district Charsadda in which they discussed speedy trial and early disposal of cases. The delegation also visited the newly-constructed Judicial Complex Charsadda.
The visiting delegation included district and sessions judges: Abid Hussain, Mushtaq Elahi, Jamil Ahmad, Muhammad Tariq Javed, Suhail Sheraz, Noor Sani, Abdul Qayyum Khan, Manzoor Ahmad, Raja Qamar Zaman, Malik Khizar Hayat, Muhammad Saleem, Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas, Azizullah Klov, Tariq Mahmood and Liaqat Ali.
Eid shopping picks up in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: Shopping for Eidul Azha has gained momentum as great rush of people is being witnessed in all markets and bazaars of the city as the people are busy to celebrate this festive occasion with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
A great rush is being witnessed nowadays in almost all shopping malls and bazaars of the city including Bank Road, Adam Jee road, Commercial Market, Tench Bhatta, People’s Colony, Saddar Bazaar, Moti Bazaar, Raja Bazaar and other markets of the city.
As the Eid festival is coming nearer, a large number of female and children are thronging markets and commercial plazas of the city to purchase clothes, footwear, cosmetics, henna, bangles and other items.
Shopkeepers have decorated their shops with colourful lights to attract customers.The shopping frenzy is expected to reach its peak during the coming days.To ensure security on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, police have been deployed in various busy shopping centres, an official told this agency.
He said that law enforcers were also deployed in civvies at various sensitive areas and close circuit cameras were also installed at different busy bazaars and public places to check the suspects, he added. — APP
