Four dengue cases reported in Swabi
SWABI: Another young man was tested positive for dengue virus as the number dengue patients in the district jumped to four in the district, an official said on Thursday.
“A total of four dengue cases have been reported in the district after the new dengue positive case has been reported from a village in Topi,” an official of the Bacha Khan Medical Complex said.
The hospital sources confirmed that the patient identified as Yousaf Khan, 25, of Hamlet village in Topi was tested positive.
The other dengue patients include Sher Rehman of Charbagh village, Ayaz Khan of Batakara village and Muhammad Irfan, 25, of Kalam Seri village.
Awareness walk held in Nowshera: A walk was held here to create awareness among the citizens regarding the dengue virus and fever on Thursday.
Led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khawaja Muhammad Sikandar Zeeshan, the participants of the walk including Additional Deputy Commissioner Fazal Hussain, District Health Officer Dr Arshad Khan, ladies health visitors, activists of civil society and students of various schools and colleges, walked from Shubra Chowk to Shama Chowk.
