Seven die as truck hits van in Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD: Seven people, including three women, were killed while nine others injured in a collision between a truck and a van near Nokhar village, about 25km from here on Monday. A van was going to Gujranwala from Hafizabad when a speeding truck collided with it. As a result, four people, including Ahsanullah of Nokhar Adda and Noman alias Nomi, were killed on the spot while 12 others, including Surriya Sharif, Shabbir Ahmad, Shahbaz, Sabir, Abid and Sajid, were injured. The injured people were shifted to the DHQ Hospital where three of them died. They could not be identified till the filing of the report. The police have arrested the truck driver and started investigation.
