MARDAN: A former candidate of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the National Assembly from Mardan on Thursday announced to quit the party along with his hundreds of supporters.
Speaking at a press conference, Gul Nawaz Khan accused the JI leaders of not carrying out development works despite that its members had important ministries in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led coalition government in the province.
Gul Nawaz alleged that merit was not being followed while making appointments in various departments. Citing one example, he said officials from Dir had been posted at Katlang and Rustam towns.
