Tennis event at Anjuman-e-Islamia Boys Primary School
KARACHI: Sindh Tennis Association (STA) on Friday organised a coaching camp as part of ITF Junior Tennis Initiative at Government Anjuman-e-Islamia Boys Primary School No1, Liaquatabad No 10.
Senior Vice President STA Muhammad Khalid Rehmani said that their body has agreed upon a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with School Education Department Karachi to introduce JTI activities on fortnightly basis in government schools in Karachi.
The target is to introduce 5000 students to tennis in 2017 in Sindh. Racquets, balls, coaching and other equipments will be provided by STA. The event at Anjuman-e-Islamia School was the first in this respect. Qualified national coaches Farah Riaz (JTI Coordinator) and Eibad Sarwar Hussain (National Green Badge Coach) trained more than 350 boys and girls.
