MHCBA election schedule

MULTAN: The Multan High Court Bar Association executive committee on Wednesday issued schedule for election 2015/16.
According to the schedule, nomination papers would be submitted on February 7 from 9am to 1pm while the list of candidates would be made public on the same day. The scrutiny of nomination papers would be done on February 9. The final list of candidates would be announced on February 12 and polling would be held on February 28.
The MHCBA executive committee also fixed nomination fees against different offices, which include Rs 100,000 for the president office, Rs 50,000 for the vice-president slot, Rs 75,000 for the general secretary slot, Rs 40,000 for the library secretary slot, Rs 40,000 for the finance secretary slot and Rs 20,000 for the executive committee member slots.
The executive committee also appointed senior lawyer Mukhtar Ahmad Khan as the election board chairman and Malik Mehboob Ali and Muhammad Fayyazul Haq as the election board members.
