Usman, Abbas in Asian Junior Squash quarters

KARACHI: Usman Nadeem and Abbas Zeb reached the quarter-finals of the 24th Asian Junior Individual Squash Open in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday.
In the under-13 category, Usman defeated N Lakman of Sri Lanka 11-9, 4-11, 8-11, 11-6, 11-9 in the second round. He will face Parth Ambani of India in the quarters.
In the under-15 category, Ashab Irfan lost to second seed Neel Joshi of India 7-11, 4-11, 6-11 in the second round. In the under-19 category, Zeeshan Zeb defeated Abedalkader Jeitan of Jordan 8-1 (retired) in the first round. He will play against Mansoor Zaman in the second round. Abbas defeated Yash Bhargava of India 11-7, 11-8, 11-8 in the second round. He will face top seed Mohammad Al-Saraj of Jordan in the quarters.
