BHAKKAR: The Anti-Corruption Cell has been established to receive complaints against the officers of the government departments at the DCO Office here.
According to a circular issued by the DCO, the cell had been established under the powers vested to the DCO by the Punjab government. The DCO has appointed AC Ali Akhtar Saifullah as in-charge of the cell to receive complaints against the corrupt officers of the government departments and the TMA. The circular said that FIRs would be registered against the officers if corruption charges proved against them after inquiry.
CAR THIEVES HELD: City police on Wednesday arrested three car thieves. The police raided at Mandi Town and arrested Javed Iqbal, Rizwan and Muhammad Ejaz and recovered a stolen car from them.
SHOS TRANSFERRED: DPO Agha Muhammad Yousuf on Wednesday transferred four SHOs. The new SHOs have assumed their new assignments.
