Raza Rabbani to open Sindh Labour Conference today
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani will inaugurate a two-day Sindh Labour Conference at the Piler Centre in Gulshan-e-Maymar today.
The National Labour Council, in collaboration with the Sindh Labour Solidarity Committee and the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (Piler), has organised the conference.
Justice (retd) Ali Nawaz Chowhan, chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), will be the chief guest at the inaugural session.
The main objective of the conference is to collect recommendations for the forthcoming Sindh Tripartite Labour Conference to be organised by the Sindh government in September.
Trade unions, labour, women labourers and peasants leaders from across the province will attend this conference, as will some representatives of key trade unions from other provinces. Representatives from the Employers Federation of Pakistan will also attend.
