MULTAN: Twenty-three CSS candidates along with their families on Tuesday staged a demonstration against shifting of interview centre to Lahore from Multan.
The protesters gathered at Chungi No-9 and blocked the road to register their protest. They were chanting slogans against the FPSC. They were also carrying placards and banners. The CSS students said that the FPSC through a notice on Tuesday intimated them about shifting the interview centre from Multan to Lahore. According to the FPSC notice, interviews were not possible in Multan due to some administrative reasons, they added. They said that the interviews were scheduled to begin from February 13. Earlier, they had visited Lahore twice for medical examination, they said, adding that they had faced problems in boarding and lodging. The candidates’ parents have demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif order the officers concerned to cancel the shifting of interview centre to Lahore from Multan.
