Sukkur Police recover girl

SUKKUR: Police recovered an eight-year-old girl from the possession of a landlord. The girl was sold for marriage to the landlord by her father. Reports said that Ms Soomri accosted the journalists of Tando Bhago and told them that her husband Ali Murad had sold out her eight-year-old daughter to a local landlord Achar Machi for marriage.  With tears in her eyes, she requested the journalists to help her in this regard. Reports said that the journalists sent her to police station, where she registered her complaint.   The police later on conducted the raid and recovered the girl as well as arrested the local landlord, while the father of the girl is still at large. The police said that case against the accused would be registered under the underage marriage restraint act.
