‘Dengue can target Gujranwala’

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafiq has directed that a vigorous dengue awareness campaign should be launched in collaboration with the local government and district councils in Punjab and billboards and banners should be displayed in the cities.
He expressed the views presiding over a meeting of the cabinet committee on dengue at Civil Secretariat on Monday, according to a handout.
Besides elected preventatives, senior officers of all government departments concerned including Primary & Secondary Health and Specialised Healthcare, public health experts, incharge CM’s Dengue Research Cell Prof. Wasim Akram and attended the meeting.
