Rs50m earmarked for free Wi-Fi at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Park

The Sindh government has earmarked Rs50 million in its 2017-18 budget to install free Wi-Fi service at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park in the city’s Clifton area.
Speaking with a delegation during a meeting held in his office on Wednesday, he said the provincial government was taking keen interest in providing latest technology to the people of Karachi without any charge and the provision of fee Wi-Fi access in the Benazir park was part of the programme's first phase.
Dr Shoro said the government was making efforts to revamp the IT sector on an advance level. “In the next phase, the IT Department will extend this facility to the other parts of Karachi and across the province.”
