Hamid, Hasheesh reach tennis final

KARACHI: The pair of Hamid Israr Gul and Hasheesh Kumar stunned the top seed duo to reach the final in 2nd Nemoz ATF 14 & under Super Series Tennis Championship at DHA Creek Club on Tuesday.
The unseeded pair of Hamid and Hasheesh beat the top seed duo of Adil Khan and Ibrahim Khan 6-2, 7-5. In the other semi-final, Rayyan Jawad and Abdullah Khan beat Asim Gul and Ameer Ismail Mapara 6-4, 6-3.
Hamid overpowered Ibrahim 6-4, 6-7, 12-10 and Ameer won against Farooq Atiq 5-7, 6-4, 10-3 in boys’ singles main draw for fifth to seventh positions.
In the matches for ninth to eleventh positions, Yahya Ehtasham beat Huzaifa Khan 6-2, 6-2 and Talha Khan defeated Asim Gul 6-2, 4-6, 10-7.
