Skardu road

A sum of Rs45 billion has been allocated for the construction of Skardu Road. Rs31 billion are set aside for land compensation. It is hoped that the reconstruction of the road will be carried out in a wise manner. In the past, instead of the widening of the road, the authorities shrank the already narrow road.

The road starts from Skardu and ends at the base of the Siachen Glacier. On that basis, this road holds immense importance. The concerned authorities must regularly supervise the overhauling of the road and ensure that the work is completed on time.
