Three of a family killed as roof collapses in Kurram Agency

PARACHINAR: A woman and her two minor daughters were killed and five other members of the family sustained injuries as the roof of a house collapsed in Lower Kurram Agency on Friday, official sources said.

They said the roof of the house of Din Akbar suddenly collapsed in Zorarali village in lower pars of Kurram Agency. As a result, the sources said, that a woman identified as Tahira Bibi, her two minor daughters, whose names could not be ascertained, and five other members of the family including four women sustained injuries in the incident. The locals rushed to the spot and started rescue work. They pulled out the injured from the debris and retrieved the bodies.

The injured included Sher Akbar, Khan Begum, Shazia Bibi, Ayesha, Alia and Sonia Bibi. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Sadda where their condition was stated to be out of danger. Reports about boundary walls collapse of several others mud-houses were also received from parts of the agency.
