Car recovered after shootout with dacoits

OKARA: The Motorway police recovered a car after a shootout with dacoits near Cantonment on Thursday.
The dacoits had snatched the car (LED-6930) from Qasim of Multan, who was returning from Lahore, near 52/2L Village on Lahore-Multan Highway. After getting information, DPO Faisal Rana ordered the police to trace the car. Meanwhile, the Motorway police were also informed about the incident. At a check-post, the Motorway police signalled to stop the car, but dacoits opened fire at them. The police also retaliated, forcing the dacoits to escape.
MALANG STRANGLED: A malang was strangled to death by unknown people at a shrine.
Abdur Razzaq was sleeping in a room at the shrine of Qalandar Pak Hujra Shah Muqeem when unknown people strangled him. The Hujra Shah Muqeem police have registered a case and started investigations.
