KARACHI: Army Seniors, PIA, NBP and SSGC cruised into the semi-finals of the inaugural Chief of the Army Staff Challenge Hockey Cup underway at the Army Hockey Stadium in Rawalpindi.
After a rest day on Thursday, both semi-finals will be played on January 30. In a dead rubber, WAPDA beat Army Juniors 2-0. Khalid Bhatti and Mohammed Usman scored one goal each.
In another match, PIA defeated Army Seniors by 4-2. Zubair Mehmood, Rana Sohail, Nohaiz and Shafqat Rasool scored one goal each.
For Army Seniors, Abdul Jabbar scored both goals. In the last match of the day, two goals by Syed Kashif helped NBP outclass Navy 4-0. Sibtain Raza and Ali Shan scored one goal each.
