PTI councillor’s bail rejected in land grabbing case
NOWSHERA: The district and sessions judge on Wednesday rejected the bail before arrest (BBA) application of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tehsil councillor in a land grabbing case.
One Ali Bahadur had accused PTI’s Tehsil Councillor Tauheed Alam of grabbing his land. He then had told the police that Tauheed had introduced himself as a director of a non-governmental organisation and asked him to allow the use of his land for the construction of a hospital under a project.
He said Tauheed had promised that the hospital building would be returned to him after the completion of the project.The man alleged that the aforementioned person had reneged on the pledge and had occupied the building for the past three years.
Later, Tauheed Alam filed a bail before arrest application in a district and sessions court.District and Sessions Judge Shafiq Ahmad Tanoli, did not accept his BBA plea after which the police arrested him from the court room.
