LAHORE: Weather remained hot and humid in the city on Sunday while the Met office predicted similar weather with chances of scattered rain during the next 24 hours.
The Met officials said a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next two days. They predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, DI Khan, Hazara, divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
On Sunday, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat divisions, Punjab, Islamabad, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while weather remained hot and dry in other parts of the country.
Different cities witnessed rain included Chakwal, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Murree, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, T Singh, Bahawalpur, MB DIN, Jhang, Mangla, Joharabad, Jhelum, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Noorpur Thal, D.G.Khan, Lower Dir, Kakul, Malamjabba, Kohat, Balakot, Kotli, Garidupatta and Rawalakot.
Sunday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Dadu where mercury reached 46°C while in Lahore it was 37°C, minimum was 21.2°C and humidity was 26 per cent.
