ME conflict to benefit enemy: Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said the differences among Muslim countries and their conflicts are badly damaging the interests of Muslim Ummah besides benefitting the enemies of Islam.
Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Wing, Lahore, at Mansoora on Tuesday, Sirajul Haq said there was a dire need to resolve the tension and conflicts among the Gulf countries through mutual contacts.
He appreciated the offer from Kuwait and Turkey for mediation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar to resolve the conflict and expressed the hope that the both sides would avail this opportunity. He said that only Islam’s enemies would benefit from the policy of boycott.

He said the increasing interference of the Trump administration in the Gulf was an alarm bell and it must be effectively checked. He said that actually the West wanted to keep its ordnance factories running by fanning differences among the Muslim countries and creating dissent among them.He said Pakistan should play its role in peace and rapprochement among the brother states in accordance with the Islamic teachings.
