Rawalpindi Law College holds prize distribution ceremony

Distinguished students of the Rawalpindi Law College (RLC) were awarded merit certificates, cash prizes and trophies for their achievement in education, sports and other co-curricular activities at the annual prize distribution function held here on Wednesday, says a press release.
Chief Executive, Rawalpindi Law College, Pirzada Rahat Quddusi was the chief guest on the occasion. Principal, Rawalpindi College of Commerce Hamid Mehmood, Pirzada Masoor Quddusi, faculty members, students their parents attended the function.
Addressing the gathering, Quddusi said the sanctity of the law profession can be gauged by the fact that founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah chose this profession as his career. “Pakistan was founded by a lawyer and students must not forget it,” he opined.
Quddusi said the Rawalpindi Law College was established in 1988 and it has rendered unmatched services in the field of law since its inception. “Thousands of students and other professionals who got law education from here are serving not only Pakistan but abroad, thus keeping the college’s torch up and above any other law institution in the twin cities,” he said.
Ashraf Nazir Tahir, Fozia Sajreen, Kafil Khan, Majid Rauf, Noman Tariq, Rabia Khatoon and Mohammad Abbas were awarded shields for their outstanding performance in academics.
Zaheer, Azmatullah, Ilyas, Hamza and others got trophies for their achievements in sports.
Services of former principal Shamshadullah Cheema were also eulogized by the chief executive and faculty members. Students of the college also staged cultural skits at the end of the programme.
