DASKA: Dacoits Sunday deprived citizens of cash and valuables.
Three dacoits barged into house of Bilal Aslam, and took hostage the family and snatched Rs 250,000, gold ornaments, cellphones and a motorcycle in the area of Sadar police.
In the second hit in the city area Tahir Mahmood was on the way to home, two dacoits intercepted him near Pasrur bypass and snatched thousands of rupees, mobilephones and motorcycle from him.
WOMAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE: A Sunday woman tried to commit suicide over domestic issues in the city area on Sunday.
Reportedly, the women used to quarrel with her in-laws over some domestic issues. On the day of incident, she swallowed poisons pills. When her condition began to deteriorate she was shifted to civil hospital.
BOOKED ON FAKE CHEQUE: The city police Sunday registered a case against an accused on charges of issuing a bogus cheque.
The bounced cheque case has been registered on the plea of Muhammad Sulman.
BOOKED: Satra police Sunday registered a case for extending help to a proclaimed offender (PO). Police on a tip-off raided a locality to arrest PO Liquat Ali, who was hiding in out-house of Dera of Sarfraz.
When police raided the site the PO escaped.
