Rulers indifferent to situation in Kashmir: Siraj
LAHORE
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said Wednesday it was most shameful that while Indian occupation troops in Indian-Held Kashmir had crossed all limits in killing and maiming innocent Muslims, the rulers seemed indifferent to the situation.
He was talking to Mishall Malik, wife of Kashmiri Hurriat leader Yaseen Malik, who called on him at Mansoora on Wednesday. Ms Sameea Raheel Qazi was also present. Sirajul Haq said Kashmiris were fighting the war of completion of Pakistan but the rulers in Islamabad were indifferent and were practically betraying the just cause of Kashmiris’ freedom. He said Indian occupation army was firing pellet guns on Kashmiri children and women besides using prohibited ammunition in the valley but the United Nations and the world community were completely silent. He said Kashmir issue was a threat to the world peace and it must be resolved through tripartite dialogue and in the light of the UN resolutions.
He said India was trying hard to crush the freedom movement in Kashmir. He said Indian forces had killed over one lakh Kashmiris while thousands had been rendered crippled. He said Indian troops entered the houses of Kashmiris on the pretext of search and tortured the women. Kashmiri women were disgraced and confined in torture cells but the world conscience was not moved, he added.
