China thrash  Pakistan in U23 volleyball

KARACHI: Pakistan volleyball team went 0-3 down against China and had to be content with sixth position in the Asian Under-23 Volleyball Championship being held at Ardabil, Iran.  In the fifth place play-off on Tuesday, Pakistan failed to live up to the billing and were put under pressure by strong China who went down against Chinese Taipei in the quarter-finals. After losing the quarter-finals against Thailand 0-3, Pakistan had beaten Kazakhstan 3-2 to set the fifth place off with China.
