Karachi thump Rawalpindi in Under-19 match
KARACHI: Karachi defeated Rawalpindi by seven wickets in their match of the Inter-Region Under-19 Cricket tournament here at the NBP Sports Complex on Thursday.
Karachi were folded for 259 in the allotted 50 overs with Mohammad Zubair scoring 87 off 70 balls. He smacked eight fours and one six.
Haider Ali struck 68, while Imran Shah belted 55.
Waheedullah Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 4-31.
Rawalpindi were restricted to 252-9 with Zaid Khan scoring 83 and Mohammad Jehangir 59.
Asher Qureshi (2-41), Izhar Gul (2-53) and Muhammad Zahid (2-59) bowled well.
At the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur defeated Hyderabad by six wickets.
Hyderabad posted 260-6 in 50 overs with Saad Khan making 97 not out. Muhammad Suleman belted 76.
Bahawalpur achieved the target in 47.4 overs after losing four wickets.
