The cordial relationship between Pakistan and Great Britain is not only beneficial for the two states, but also remains a cause of stability in South Asia, said Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair in a meeting with United Kingdom High Commissioner Thomas Drew at the Governor House on Friday.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy High Commissioner Belinda Lewis, different aspects of the Pak-UK bilateral relationship were extensively discussed.
The governor hailed British assistance in education, health and basic facilities as vital for the sustained cordial relationship between the two countries.
However, emphasising the need for increased bilateral trade, Zubair said the growing interest of British investors in Sindh, coupled with its support to strengthen important sectors, would have a long-term and positive impact.
The governor highlighted the effect of British investment in energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, health and education.
He said it had generated employment massive opportunities for citizens, which led to economic and social stability.
The governor referred to Karachi as a growing attraction among international investors due to its geographic location, trained human resource and developing infrastructure.
