KARACHI: Hania Naveed and Rida Khan cruised into the summit clash of ladies singles event of 13th Westbury Open Ranking Tennis Tournament here on Thursday at DA Creek Club.
Hania Naveed zapped her semi-final opponent Fiza Ali 6-0, 6-0. Rida Khan also managed straight-set victory but her opponent Kinza Ghanchi took her to full stretch in each set before she eventually recorded a 7-6, 7-6 win.
In men’s singles quarter-finals, Abdul Majeed faced tough resistance from Asad Khan before recording a 6-1, 1-6, 10-8 victory.
Zuhair Raza also made it to the event’s semi-finals as he thrashed Hasan Farooq by 6-0, 6-1. Malik Hamza overpowered Dawar Rehan by 6-3, 6-0.
