KARACHI: Mahin Aftab Qureshi cruised into the semi-finals of ITF Asian 14 and under tennis Championships — Division II, 2015, underway in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
According to reports made available here, Mahin defeated Sri Lankan player Perera Prabbudhi in straight sets, recording a convincing 6-3, 7-5 victory in the girls quarter-finals.
She is scheduled to play her semi-final match on Thursday (today).
In boys’ singles event, budding player Huzaifa Abdul Rehman fought his way to the quarter-finals but lost the last-eight match by 6-2, 1-6, 2-6 score. The other two players, Hamza Bin Rehan and Amin Shafi, lost their matches on Wednesday.
