One killed, 4 injured in Kohat road accidents
KOHAT: One person was killed and four others of a family, including three girls, sustained injuries in separate road accidents on Indus Highway on Wednesday, police said.
They said an elderly man was crossing road near Jarma area when a Peshawar-bound vehicle struck him, killing him on the spot. The body was shifted to the Kohat Development Authority (KDA) Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the family members for burial.
Taking action, the police arrested the driver Abdur Razaq Marwat and impounded the vehicle.Meanwhile, four persons of a family, including three young girls, and a minor boy sustained injuries when two vehicles collided on Indus Highway near Chechna Morr.
The injured, including Aasia Bibi, Khadija Bibi, Khafsa Bibi and Abdur Rehman, were taken to the KDA Hospital in Kohat where their condition was stated to be stable. The police arrested drivers of the vehicles and started investigation after registering the case.
