KOHAT: The religious scholars and clerics announced their support to the district administration in curbing the terror activities in the area. A jirga to this effect was held here on Tuesday which was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Riaz Mehsud, District Police Officer Salim Khan Marwat and local scholars and Ulema. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers highlighted the destruction of properties and loss of precious lives in insurgency and vowed to curb it at all costs in the area. The district administration warned to take action against the seminaries if found involved in delivering provocative speeches. The religious leaders assured that they would play their role in putting the society on the right path and help the administration in eradicating the terror activities.
