KARACHI: Dawar Rehan recorded a straight-set victory against Vinod Das and secured his place in the quarter-finals of 13th Westbury Open Ranking tennis championship here on Tuesday at DA Creek Club.
After winning first set 6-4, Dawar was tested by stubborn Vinod in the second set, who took the game into tie-breaks.
However, Dawar held his nerves and eventually record a 6-4, 7-6 (1) triumph.
Rayyan Jawwad confirmed his place in under-15 singles semi-finals when he beat Muhammad Ahmed in the quarter-final by 7-6, 6-4. Abdullah Khan defeated Ali Dada 8-0 in under11 singles quarter-final.
